Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children
Conversion of existing children’s ward
The scope of this project at the Royal Belfast Hospital for Sick Children involved conversion of existing areas into a new MRI Suite and associated service rooms. Works undertaken were extensive and included demolition of existing rooms, driving of piled foundations, provision of entrance lobby, reception area, and offices. McKelvey Construction completed the MRI examination room, MRI computer room, MRI control room, bed bays, ancillary accommodation. Mechanical alterations were also completed, as well as ventilation modifications, electrical strip out and provision of 1st and 2nd fix electrical services, provision of fixed and loose furniture and seating.

Ulster Hopsital Labs
Refurbishment
Works within the main hospital building included reconfiguration / refurbishment works to the existing laboratories and disused ward area within the radiology block. The works consisted of demolition works, building extension and new link building to Physiotherapy block, installation of new boiler house, reconfiguration of ground floor and existing laboratories to provide new consultation and treatment rooms, installation of new flooring/ceilings and replacement windows. Works within the COTE building are located in Ward 25 and provided additional bed space and storage facilities. McKelvey Construction also provided all associated medical gas, mechanical and electrical installations.

New 3 Storey Nursing Home
The Hillview Nursing Home project relates to construction of a new 3 storey, 57 bedroom nursing home and acute care facility. An existing care home was already located on the site and it remained occupied during the entire construction process.

Craigavon Area Hospital Waste Transfer Station
McKelvey Construction was appointed to construct a new Waste Transfer Station at Craigavon Area Hospital. This project involved the use of specialist services, structural steelwork, cladding and roller shutter doors with concrete sub structure U/G Drainage, ducting, M&E Services.

ERNE HEALTH CENTRE REFURBISHMENT, ENNISKILLEN
Completed on time and on budget this project involved the fit out of the first floor of an existing busy health centre in Enniskillen. The refurbished facilities included new offices, clinical rooms, quiet room, interview rooms, new toilet and disabled facilities, storage areas and waiting areas.
