McKelvey Construction began as a dynamic husband and wife duo and has grown to a team of fifty providing services throughout the UK and Ireland. The hands-on, family ethos of the business brings a drive for excellence, supported by an experienced team of professionals on hand to ensure the absolute best results. With over 25 years of experience, an impressive project portfolio and strong industry accreditations, McKelvey Construction demonstrates the track record and required skills to handle the most challenging of construction projects.

Family-owned and operated

Still family owned and operated, at McKelvey Construction we recognise the vital contribution that our people make to the success of the business. Teamwork and integrity are central to the core values of McKelvey's and have underpinned our reputation in the industry. We bring these core values to every project, working closely with clients to add value in the delivery of a quality solution. Our multi-skilled team has delivered projects ranging from government buildings, schools, healthcare and housing contracts to new build and refurbishment works on both commercial and private properties.

Contracts Director

Darren has been employed in the family business for the past 15 years. Having steadily progressed from a trades background to site management, Darren is now responsible for the operational delivery of projects undertaken by the company. He has gained exceptional organisational and management skills which now make him an invaluable member of the team.

Richard

Crawford

Contracts Director

Richard has been with the Company since 2001 and has gained 20 years Contracts Management Experience. He has established an excellent track record of successful delivery of projects on time, within budget to client specification and agreed quality standards. Richard is also responsible for the successful delivery of works gained through our FM Division.

Graeme

Alcorn

Senior Quantity Surveyor

Graeme has been a Quantity Surveyor for over 35 years, during which time he has gained extensive experience in general construction and MTC contracting. Having worked for McKelvey Construction since 2010 he is regarded as a highly valued member of our team.

Bennett
Managing Director McKelvey Asbestos Division

Dominic came to the company from a design led background. For the past 4 years he has been managing our asbestos removal business. A dedicated and proven professional whom has built up a reputation of success within this sector, his attention to detail is unquestionable.

Company Admin Team

Our long serving office support team is made up of 3 dedicated and experienced staff members. Our Office Manager is Sheryl Catterson. Admin Support is provided by Michelle Galbraith, Tamara vaughan. 


We take pride that staff turnover at McKelvey is low and many of our skilled trades staff have been with the company for 20-25 years. We attribute our staff retention track record to our commitment to fostering an open, supportive and positive atmosphere on site and at our office locations. We are always interested in hearing from talented individuals and from supply chain subcontractors who share our passion for teamwork, quality and construction excellence.
